Executives

Greg Coleman President

Greg was named President of the Erie SeaWolves in February 2011. Prior to joining the SeaWolves, Coleman helped launch the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class A - Tampa Bay Rays) as the team's Assistant General Manager. During his time in Kentucky, Greg was named 2010 Marketer of the Year by the Professional Marketing Association and the Hot Rods were awarded 2009 Promotion of the Year honors by MiLB.com and GameOps.com.

Prior to joining the Hot Rods, Greg served as Assistant General Manager of the Trenton Thunder (Class AA - New York Yankees). During his tenure, the Thunder was recognized as the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce's 2007 Distinguished Corporation of the Year. In 2006, Coleman ran around the bases 500 times in one day (over 34 miles) at Trenton's Waterfront Park to raise over $11,000 for Autism New Jersey. In 2008, the Princeton Corridor Rotary Club honored Greg with its "Service Above Self" Award.

Coleman spent five years with the Modesto A's (Class A-Advanced - Oakland A's) where he was promoted from Assistant GM to General Manager and Vice President. With Greg's leadership, Modesto set a new single-season franchise attendance record and earned the 2003 Bob Freitas Award, presented annually by Baseball America to recognize franchise excellence at each level in Minor League Baseball.

Greg started his professional baseball career in 1998 as the Director of Marketing & Media for the Daytona Cubs (Class A-Advanced, Cubs). After Daytona, he served as the Director of Sales & Promotions for the Orlando Rays (Class AA, Tampa Bay Devil Rays).

Coleman is a native of Hamilton, New Jersey and a graduate of The College of New Jersey (BA, Communication Studies). Greg and his wife Shanda have two children, Kevin and Maggie.


Greg Gania Assistant General Manager / Communications
Greg began with the SeaWolves in 2006 and has called Erie SeaWolves games on Fox Sports Radio 1330 THE FAN for the last 11 seasons en route to being the longest tenured broadcaster in SeaWolves history. Greg was promoted to Assistant GM in March of 2012 and oversees team communications and entertainment departments.

Prior to joining the SeaWolves, Greg spent seven seasons (1999-2005) with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Class-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians), the last three as the team's Radio Broadcaster and Media Relations Assistant. He handled play-by-play duties for all 76 games of the New York-Penn League season and called the Scrappers 2004 NYPL Championship Series victory.

Greg graduated from Bowling Green State University in May 2005 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While at Bowling Green, he was a member of the Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization, handling play-by-play duties for Football, Men's Basketball, and flagship coverage of Women's Basketball and Baseball. Gania had the privilege of calling the 2005 Bowling Green Women's Basketball MAC Championship and their NCAA First Round tournament game.

Greg, a huge Jimmy Buffett fan ( Fins Up /) /) ), is a native of Warren, Ohio and currently resides in Erie with his dog Sidney.

Mark Pirrello Assistant General Manager / Sales
Mark started as a part-time concessions employee for the team for three seasons from 1996 through 1998. In 1999, Pirrello moved to the front office and held the title of Assistant Director of Concessions. Then in 2002, Mark was promoted to Director of Operations where he was responsible for managing areas including concessions, merchandise, stadium cleanup, and the official team clubhouse.

Beginning in 2004, Mark made the transition to Box Office Manager where he managed the day-to-day operations of tickets and merchandise for the team. In addition, Mark conducted inside sales for the team, selling ticket packages and groups for the ticket department. In 2009, Mark was promoted to Director of Business Development where he sold all areas of tickets for the club including season tickets, groups, and suites.

In March of 2012, Pirrello was promoted to Assistant GM of Sales. In his current role, Mark leads sponsorship sales for the team and coordinates a wide variety of special events at UPMC Park.

Mark was born and raised in Erie. He is a Cathedral Prep graduate and graduated from Baker College with a Business Administration degree. Mark still resides in Erie with his wife Sarah, his daughter Savannah, and his son Maverick.


Accounting and Finance

Amy McArdle Director, Accounting & Finance
Amy joined the SeaWolves as Director of Accounting and Finance in 2011. She is responsible for all of the accounting and payroll functions for the organization.

A lifelong resident of the Erie area, Amy grew up in Corry, PA. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University, Behrend College. Amy currently resides in Waterford, PA with her fiancé Brian. In her free time, she enjoys scrap booking, auto racing, and spending time with family and friends.

Ticketing

Dan Jones Director, Ticket Sales

Dan joined the SeaWolves in 2016. He is a Toms River, New Jersey native and a recent graduate with a degree in Sport Management from York College of Pennsylvania. Dan is coming to Erie after completing an internship with the Harrisburg Senators. During his free time Dan enjoys spending time with friends and family and watching and playing more baseball.


Tom Barnes Ticket Operations Manager

Tom joined the SeaWolves in 2018. He got his start with the organization as a Junior Associate Intern for the 2014 season and as a Ticket Operations Intern for the 2015 season. After completing 2 seasons in Erie, Tom moved on to the MLB with the Pittsburgh Pirates as a Ticket Operations Assistant for the 2016 & 2017 seasons.

Tom is an Erie native, graduating from Cathedral Prep in 2010. Tom attended Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, where he earned his degree in Sport Management in 2014. While not working, Tom enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Tom is also a huge fan of all Pittsburgh sports and is an avid Michigan and Chelsea FC fan.


Joe Peer Account Executive

Joe joined the SeaWolves in 2018 and is in his first season of affiliated baseball. He graduated from SUNY Cortland in May 2017, with a bachelor degree in Sport Management and completed an internship with the Elmira Pioneers baseball team in Summer 2017. Joe recently moved to Erie from Elmira, NY. Joe enjoys playing Xbox, going to Buffalo Bills games, competitive power lifting and fishing in his free time.


Entertainment

Nathan Brecht Director, Entertainment
Nathan joined the SeaWolves in January of 2017. He is an Ann Arbor, Michigan native that received his degree in Media and Information with a specialization in Broadcast Television from Michigan State University in 2016. Prior to moving to Erie, Nathan was the Scoreboard Operations Intern with The Detroit Tigers.

While at Michigan State Nathan spent 2 years with as a production team member of Michigan State's Athletic Department, where he learned the in's and out's of live event production. In his free time he likes hanging out with friends and talking sports. Nathan is a loyal Detroit sports fan; he roots for the Detroit Lions, Red Wings, Tigers and Pistons as well as his Alma Mater Michigan State.

Brennan Becker Director, Merchandise

Brennan joined the SeaWolves front office in the fall of 2017. He is a native of Titusville, PA and a 2016 graduate from Clarion University with a degree in Sports Management. Brennan began his baseball career as an intern with SeaWolves during the 2017 season as an Operations Assistant. He enjoys golfing and fishing during his free time. Brennan is an avid Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers and Arkansas Razorbacks fan. .
